The Netherfield Centre was set up with the support of the European Community WARR Partnership Leader+ 2000-2006 Programme, supported by the European Agriculture Guidance and Guarantee Fund of the EU, East Sussex County Council, Plumpton College,Esmee Fairburn Foundation, Common Cause Co-operative, Rother District Council and West Sussex County Council.

Advisory Farm Visits
     
The Netherfield Centre offers advisory visits, consultations and follow up e-mail and telephone mentoring. We can visit your farm to discuss your ideas and assist with creating an action plan. The consultation can either address the whole farm enterprise, including marketing, or focus on specific issues and usually takes the form of a farm visit and report.
 
 
Typical areas covered may include:

Condition of grassland and soils Weed control Forage production and nutrition Clean grazing Stocking rates Stock fencing Organic conversion Beef, lamb, and free range pork enterprises Winter housing Selection of finished stock Product Planning
