sussexbreakfast

The Sussex Breakfast is an exciting initiative designed to build stronger links between accommodation providers and local food producers.
The scheme is currently operating in the 1066 area of East Sussex. There are plans to extend it to the rest of East Sussex and to West Sussex in the future.

What is a Sussex Breakfast?

The ‘Sussex Breakfast’ is delicious, local, and seasonal. It is made from quality ingredients sourced direct from Sussex producers or purchased from farm shops that are supplied by local farmers and craft producers. Visitors can enjoy milk from local small dairies, sausages and dry cured bacon made from pigs reared outdoors, free range eggs, apple juice, seasonal fruit, and tasty homemade jams, mustards and marmalades. Caring animal husbandry and respect for the Sussex landscape and wildlife is a part of the ethos of the Sussex Breakfast

The aims of the Sussex Breakfast Initiative are:
      • Tastier & Healthier Food
      • Happier Animals
      • Sustaining Rural Communities
      • Keeping Sussex Beautiful
